Aquarama automated car wash implements computer vision

The cooperation between the Estonian Aquapesulad and Recursive seeks the implementation of two separate plug-in systems to be installed within the existing washing bays.

The first system connects with the control panel box of the bay to deliver an audio guide to users who may be inexperienced with the facility, as well as providing audible feedback regarding the washing stages.

The second system implements a computer-vision algorithm which recognizes users by their license plate, and talks to a cloud-connected platform in order to provide clients with customized feedback and behavior. This component makes use of specialized automated LPR (License Plate Recognition) cameras, which pre-process the video stream in order to enhance the notable visual features.

The first of such augmented car wash bays is installed in Võru, Estonia.
